I did some measuring and determined that big tires would fit better with 15 inch rims because you can use FWD offset to help keep the rear tires from fouling the fender lip. With a 13 inch rim and a FWD offset (more or less stock) anything wider than about 5 inches would tag the upper control arm. I was considering P195/55R15 on American Racing 95 rims after discovering that new aftermarket 13 inch rims just wouldn't work (because I couldn't find any stylish *narrow* FWD offset rims.)
