Skib
TheHelix's Engine Design Utility thought Id post this up for those that haven't seen this before. Its a great engine calculator for L4's, L6's, Z motors, KA, SR, VG and RB 1 Quote Link to comment
izzo
nice, what is a headgaskets default height? Quote Link to comment
sssr20det510
Ya i was playing around with that when i was thinking about building a lz22 turbo motor, its pretty cool Quote Link to comment
bonvo
im guessing all the measurements are in millimeters? edit: im diggin this thing though its fun and lets me see the compression ill be running and so on for different parts its like having datzenmike on call 24/7 1 Quote Link to comment
The Stig
How do you get a combustion chamber volume of -1cc? Or better yet how would you measure a head with a 1cc protrusion proud off the deck surface? And while the bore spacing is the same; a KA24 and Z24 crank main bearing sizes are not the same. why would it show as the same crank or engine class?, It does NOT fit into a L/Z block, nor does it prevent you from putting a L18 crank in a Z block, same problem. You kinda need to bring your own measurements to the program to be sure it s telling you the truth, but a neat calculator none the less. Quote Link to comment

bonvo
i think there is a bug with this i try and do a z22e with a u67 head and it freaks out saying the piston is byond the head gasket height Quote Link to comment
DanielC
"its like having datzenmike on call 24/7" No calculator is going to be like that. Not even close. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Works fine for me with that combo. make sure to use a head gasket crush of 1.2 Quote Link to comment
JacksonElanao
You kind of need to carry your own equipements in the dimensions to the system to be sure if it is informing you the fact, but a nice calculator could be more of helpful in determing and bringing out the great result . A motorhome is the best way to see the sights of Australia at your own pace! Quote Link to comment
