]2eDeYe
Ok where'd you find the wiper linkage bushing assortment number 49447? I think there's a store I need to visit in the near future I think I got those at oreilly, but all the major parts places carry a similar assortment. I haven't been on here in years. I remember seeing you post this build up. Glad someone stayed motivated! =d Welcome back. :) 2 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Battery tie down came in. Got the hinge points sealed up and the hood back on. Dipped the end of the hinges and the shoulder bolts in the grease before installation. Figured out that the solenoid was at a funky angle and the side loading was what led to the failure. Was able to just redrill the upper hole and get everything lined up. Then I went for a spin, even got to test the wipers. :D 6 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
I still have to do some brake work, but it is good enough for santa to drive :D Merry Christmas 5 Quote Link to comment

]2eDeYe
Got my truck back from Santa. He left me a new mirror for Christmas. (They are on Amazon ;) ) Visiting Shonuffs new shop. Can't wait to cobble some shit together out here. Brake stuff came in and it is slowly getting installed. :) 15/16 Master  Goal for the rear brakes is a functional ebrake. More to come. 6 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Got the rears mounted. I was going to make a bracket, but got lazy. BEEBANI to the rescue lol. I still need to come up with a lever arm for the e-brake, but it looks simple enough once I get there. Unfortunately I now have to replace the brand new clutch master that I just installed. :( Anyways here are the pics I have. I just realized I don't have a pic of the finished master...it looks like stock anyways :) Crusty bits All cleaned up New bearings were required. Some paint to keep the rust at bay. Need some way to mount these. Thanks BEE More paint. Some assembly required. Had to add a tab to hold the line on this side. Stops hard now. 5 Quote Link to comment
5t341tH
I'd like to get a bigger master. What year car should I order for? 15/16 Master :cool:Goal for the rear brakes is a functional ebrake.More to come. 2 Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
Every reservoir I've checked from Datsun/Nissan vehicles have all interchanged on this style of m/c's......so it's really easy to find used reservoirs. 3 Quote Link to comment
Bleach
I'd like to get a bigger master. What year car should I order for? I believe that is 1979-81 280ZX master cylinder. Then you can get the fluid reservours from Nissans later in the 1980's. 1982+ 280ZX has a larger reservoir but don't use the master cylinder from those years, only from the years I specified. 2 Quote Link to comment

They are getting difficult to locate as they are a popular master. Yep, I just swapped over the old reservoirs from the stock master. I believe that is 1979-81 280ZX master cylinder. That is good to know. The later style uses horizontal mounting. 2 Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
I'm pretty sure the '78 280z was a disc/drum setup for those guys that don't have rear discs. I doubt it would make much difference either way, but those other years are disc/disc. 3 Quote Link to comment

I didn't buy any of them. Unfortunately I think those cars are crushed by now. 1 Quote Link to comment
5t341tH
Thanks for the info. What did you do with the load sensing module under the truck? Still there or long gone? 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
If you use an 81 B310 booster you will have access to many more master cylinders as the 310 booster is a horizantal master cylinder mount. You will have to extend the brake rod for this booster. On my 520. This is the brake rod extension Mike Klotz made for me. Fit perfect, thank you Mike. 4 Quote Link to comment
BEEBANI
Steve, Al Allen is selling a Wilwood unit that looks like the OEM units and bolts right up. I used one on Paul's (79D50) '76. 2 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Thanks for the info. What did you do with the load sensing module under the truck? Still there or long gone? I just bled per the service manual. The process is different than one would assume, which might explain all the issues people have. I know I was never doing it correctly. If you use an 81 B310 booster you will have access to many more master cylinders as the 310 booster is a horizantal master cylinder mount. ]2eDeYe
Took the truck for a drive to pick up parts from the laser cutter. The brakes work fantastic. The clutch is pissing me off. I have had my hands on three new aftermarket clutch masters and all of the push rods are too short. I got that all handled and now the slave is leaking. Anyways got a few pics while I was out and about. 5 Quote Link to comment
