And I believe some of you have already bought some off Ebay. And one particular forum member (multiple shirt buyer, Thanks Jim) said I should start a thread here on Ratsun. Most of my shirts are on ebay under teezmark. I also sell others types, so its just not Datsun related on Ebay. I also have a small store at a online storefront thats All Datsun ,so far anyways. Japanese <-> English doesn't always translate directly. It gets especially tricky in sentence structure. The kanji you showed on the shirt is pronounced: "nezumi taiyou"... which literally means "Rat/mouse/etc" + "sun" I understand the attempt to make "RATSUN" but to have kanji (which have meanings) put together, ends up not making sense. The correct way to go about is to use katakana "ラットサン” pronounced RATTOSAN (like it's ダットサン DATTOSAN counterpart) ...OR... (and this is really pushing it) to have kanji that SOUNDS like "RATSUN" but wouldn't have any meaning. 羅戸山 means WOOL/CLOTH-DOOR-MOUNTAIN 裸賭三 means NAKED-WAGER-3 ...yah...makes ZERO sense! HAHAHAHA :lol: I...and I think most Japanese would agree to just use KATAKANA hope this helps! ーゴキ 1 Quote Link to comment
