Rollover_Red Posted July 30, 2014 Author Report Share Posted July 30, 2014 update time! sorry for the shitty quality, my old phone broke and i lost damn near all of my photos, so i had to screenshot these off my instagram(@GINGER_DATSUN) and crop them. what ive done soo far. pulled my bed out of my room and put my engine in there pulled the crank and pistons took apart the head modified the water ports for the block and head gasket took the block and head to the machine shop for some cleaning. the head needed new valve guides and also a 3 angle valve job. i did the honing myself 4 Quote Link to comment
Rollover_Red Posted July 30, 2014 Author Report Share Posted July 30, 2014 ordered some pistons and a rebuilt kit for the bottom end and got sent the wrong pistons got the new pistons and got them swapped on the rods AGAIN got the bottom end put together did some sandblasting and painting then after finding a ton of little parts i was missing, the assembly started...... yes, i know i put the water neck on backwards at first(it was like 3am when i put the accessories on) also reinforced the oil pan(yes i know its not a perfect reinforcement, but it will give me SOME peace at mind) more assembly(for damn near no reason) and this is currently where its sitting. ill be dropping it in this weekend hopefully. the LOOOONG wait is almost over........ also fixed the missing valve stem 7 Quote Link to comment

What's the latest? transmission is in, and about to throw the driveshaft in today. gotta do some wiring and run a fuel return line for my fuel pressure regulator. it doesnt sound like much, but its enough to take a while. 1 Quote Link to comment
