My T3 camber plates came with three different sized bushings to use with the different inserts.

Here is another link for comparison:

I used my stock 510 struts,,, then shortened them ~2 inches..... and re-threaded the top of the strut tube

With a 4.5" coilover collar.... . I can put the front crossmember on the ground (I know you already commented on how low my car is,, and how you'd be worried about the tires hitting the flares)

If i shorten my zx struts, will using my 4.5 inch collars be short enough if I make the perch sitting flush with the top of the strut and top of the collar. HARD TO PUT IN WORDS

Basically... everyone has 7 inch collars/springs that they use for their coilovers. Thus perch is 7 inches below the gland nut or tip of the strut tube, which means more adjustability. Losing those 3 inches of adjustability with my 4 inch collar, will I still be able to slam my dime on 15s with the 4 inch collar? MR2 inserts and shortened struts.

Anyone know what I am trying to say please answer my question lol. THANKS

Or should I just lower my perch an inch or two? which would be 5-6 inches below the gland nut

The actual adjustability is meaningless. You can get just as low by just moving your perch as far down as possible as you can with an adjustable setup that lowers the spring the same distance. Lowering is about total strut height in this case. How you reduce that total strut height isnt important.

key is what offset rim/tires you use.

On 510 struts I used the same perch weld on my t3 kit as the tire would hit the collar.as I had +25mm 15x7 and its almost touches the strut.

on 280 zx struts being 3/4 INNER, I think you can get the collar below using a 0 offset rim

Throw on some Weber sidedrafts, Rising Sun hood.... call it good

I have +17 offset 6.5" wide wheel on the from of my 510 with zx struts and they're so close that the flex in the tire has rubbed the paint off of the strut tube. With the Zx hubs 0 offset is almost a must.

I yeald to the wisdom of Q on this one.

Fuck!!!!!!!! I guess QTip was right...
