skunk
well first things first, get it on the road. so iv got to put it back together. dash seats lights. get the timeing set.hook up those su carbs.new tires. New oil, water, plugs, wires. elec dizzy.battery blah blah blah im going to need to put a headliner in and patch up a few holes here and there.but it is a datsun as far as what i want to do, im going to start by upgradeing the brakes and suspension. not sure what route im going to go just yet, iv got some reading to do. what id like to do is build a Ka24d from the ground up. But i want to run dual side draft carbs on it rather then the efi. but thats a long way off.if i can even find a intake for the ka to run dual side draft carbs. Quote Link to comment

skunk
i just love the way the dual 45 carbs sound. mikuni /weber what ever Quote Link to comment
nukeday
What's the status of it now? I know dislexicdime posted that he started it up the other day. Does it have a Weber or stock carb? Brakes ok? Clutch? Any of the electrics work? I know it sounds sort of silly, but I wrote out an actual list/plan for my car. In order of what I thought was most important to least important. Already checked off some stuff, and it's a good feeling to look at the list and see things getting done. The front/back glass gaskets turned up high on the list, which I didn't expect, but otherwise, it's really helped me stay on course. I've got an external box electronic dizzy here, let me know if you want it. It's not as pretty as a matchbox, but it should do the job. Quote Link to comment
skunk
yeah i need to make a list, it runs. i drove it off the trailer and into the drive way. its got the stock carb but not for long i want those su carbs on there.brake lights and turn sigs works. I think all the brake parts are new they have just been siting for some time, need to flush them out. im going to really get into it in the morning ill start makeing a list then.
