Glad to hear he's doing better!!

I can kind of relate, after watching my grandpa recover from a stroke several years ago. He couldn't walk, talk, or even use the bathroom without assistance. Only 2 years later and he now has been legally cleared to drive and has re-earned his drivers license, and has even looked at motorcycles.

I wish for the best!

For those of us priviliged ones, Aole was present and accounted for at JCCS. His progress is remarkable and it was great to see him. His mind is sharp and he is speaking pretty dog gone good as well. He is determined and knows what he wants to do. He has an awesome support team (mom, brother and good friend) that is inspiring in and of itself. He is an example of divine intervention. I wish him continued improvement and I have great respect for his family. :D

All-

this is Aolë 2 say thank you 2 everyone that even looks at this. If you have done more then thank you 2. This has taken well over 3.5 hours 2 type so please take a few minutes 2 read (trust I filled n time last 2 b more accurate). If you don't know what happened then read thread. Per docs I would never regain consciousness or if I did I'd b a vegetable. Well neither ended up true. Basically, I feel like I have come far but I have far 2 go. I learned 2 talk but I still can't stand or walk. I was supposed 2 have no memory but I forgot a lot & I remember a lot. 2 things I do remember are rockets and DATSUNS. It was very nice 2 think about fixing my car but it's totaled. Ask anything you want.

Nice to hear from you Ace!!!! I'm happy you're doing well. I couldn't make it to JCCS last year, sorry I miss you. My friends said you were there and looking good. Let me know if you are going to any of the Datsun meets. My hope and prayers to you for a full recovery. You already proved to the doctors they were wrong so keep on fighting Bro!!

I was privledged in meeting Aole for the first time at Inn n Out Burgers in Carlsbad just lastnight!! It has to be fate that i would meet him while on vacation miles and miles away from Guam!!

He is doing very well and we talked about Datsuns, Nissans and the engines that power them!! He was sporting his DatPak sticker on his new set of wheels too..He told me very passionately that the KA24DE would whip the FJ20 in power and liter size..

It was a true privledge for myself and my wife! Just to let you guys know, My family is just now recovering from the same thing! My 19 year old son was in a bad accident that left him in a coma and other injuries also..less than 2 years ago...He has made a full recovery. This is a very hard and trying thing to go through!

God has blessed him and his family, and i'm sure he is strong enough to kick this in the butt!!

Take it easy Aole!

God Bless You and your Family. Vince
