datzenmike Posted November 20, 2007 Report Share Posted November 20, 2007 When the voltage at the amp? drops near 10 volts the transistors just plain crap out. Be sure that your connections are clean and tight. Do not forget the ground. Also make sure there is a good SOLID ground wire between the body sheet metal and the NEG terminal of the battery OR to the engine block. This is a critical connection to complete the circuit. A digital volt meter will show this, borrow one. Could be your alternator, but it costs less to check this out first. Quote Link to comment
