NCR CA18DET 510 build

Picked up this 1971 510 2 door in august 09 for $1000. It ran and drove, i got about 130 miles out of the L20B until the piston rings blew. Here is how it looks so far.

 

Motor:

- CA18DET

 

Suspension: (will probably replacing all the suspension after motor install)

- Koni Springs? all around

- Koni Shocks

 

Wheels&Tires:

- Aero Race Wheels 30 Series 13x7 w/3" bs in front and 2" bs in the rear.

- Sumitomo HTR 200 - 215/50s

sure did, ill add another pic up of the other side. its not my best body work, but i just wanted to get it on and painted before the rain came ha.

Just to clear things up,its a 2 door sedan not coupe,otherwise very good project,nice job on the rear wheel wells,looking forward to see the CA18 in it,congrats!!!!

Thanks everyone! the wheels are Aero Race Wheels (same as nascar wheels haha) and they are 13x7, with 2" backspacing in the rear and 3" up front, i like the look of a bigger lip in the rear :D

its actually pretty simple if you have some fabrication skills, it took me probably 30 min to build a brace, cut it, and reweld it.

i would but i already scrape on every driveway here in san jose.. and come very close to slammin on every speed bump.. <_<

WELL HERE IT IS!! finally here i havent really looked over it yet, just threw it in the garage for now, but tomorrrow i will get to work on it. pretty sure it was in a wrecked car, cause there are some scratches on it

doing some test fitting.. gonna need about 3/4" spacers on each side..

 

and the turbo and downpipe come very close to the steering box

620 mounts are taller and than you should clear turbo with 1/2 inch spacer in between the crossmember and mount

well they bolt up perfectly to the motor, just need the 3/4" spacer between the xmember and mount and it should be perfect.
