My wagon earned the name Clarence Carter pretty quickly.

I was driving to a shop for a pre-purchase inspection when I was rear ended by a red Mustang. Since it was sort of close to Christmas I named my car after the musician who brought us Back Door Santa.

I've owned may 68's, but I've always just simply referred to this one as THE 68, likely because it was my favorite 68 that I've owned/built, and the only 510 that I have ever suffered post partum with out of the countless 510's that have gone through my fleet over the years...

And the last photo of Sahara- the car died an untimely death about 48 hours after this photo was taken -and it damn near too my brother with it, thankfully my bro came through, but the car was a total loss

I call the 1968 Goon "The Opposition" . . . explanation below . . .

Here's the story. I drive to Phoenix to get the wagon. I'm excited. I drive 926 miles home and I don't get one single thumbs up! NOT ONE! I think the thousands of people we passed along the way were opposed to extending their opposable thumb appendages. So . . . it came to me, this thing is The Opposition.
