racerdad
 My machinist lost the instructions and torque specifications for the ARP main studs and rod bolts. Please help! Thanks, Darrel Quote Link to comment
Bleach
ARP huh? would these be the same as the factory Nissan torque specs? I have a 1982 280ZX factory service manual at home to look them up with. Quote Link to comment
racerdad
I think they are tighter? I called ARP and they said 60 ft. lbs? Sounds like a lot to me. Have you done them before? I hope to spin 7500-8000 rpm on this engine. Everything is balanced. I just want to keep it together as long as possible. Darrel Quote Link to comment
Bleach
no, I've never done a bottom end rebuild myself so I don't know if that sounds like too much or too little. Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
Sounds about right for ARP studs... Quote Link to comment
racerdad
:DWell, lets just slam it together, peg the tach at 8000 and see what happins!!! Just kidding. I figure I will torque them at 60, plastic-gauge and see when the clearance is, go from there!! Thanks, Darrel Quote Link to comment
