Another Rambler!

Recommended Posts

Hey! I KNOW you guys will be excited about this one.. lol.. I'm in the process of picking up yet another RAMBLER! :D I have a '65 Rambler classic and have located yet another 2nd! Rambler #1 will be my son's (now 12 yrs) HS car (we're going to Rat it out), and Rambler #2 will be more of a pristine period piece.. (of course).. you know how I like the "stock" clean look. Anyway, the search for Datsun #2 will be suspended for awhile as I'm now up to my eye balls in AMC... there's just no accounting for taste.. now is there? :D

Not a huge fan of AMC but they made some 'stuff' in their time. Used to race a guy with a Hurst Rambler Scrambler. It was a '69 American that came factory with 390 motor, 4 spd and 3.90 rear end. Once he got it in second... it was gone.

my friend is restoring a rambler right now. its a GREAT looking car. i'll try to get pics of it and post them up.

Now we're talking...! I had a '65 in High School.. yeck, I had a lot of cars in High School ('68 CJ5, '74 Super Beetle, '58 Impala, '65 Rambler, 73 620,) some of these cars really left an impression on me. That Rambler was so reliable... I miss it, wish I had it again.. :(

i think bill's is a '65 too. he got it for next to nothing and has fixed it up really nice. he says that when he takes it out he hears "man, i havent seen one of these in years" a lot. apparently while everybody is busying paying $250000 for a 69 camaro (snore) you can still have a cool looking muscle car that turns some heads!
