71 510 installing B210 brake booster / needs help

Hey guys

So Im working on getting this goon back on the road. I need it running by Jun.

Last weekend I found a 79 B210 Wagon at pick n pull. I pulled the brake booster and set it aside for some free time. This morning I went out and removed the stock master cylinder. I cleaned up the brake booster. I went to install it and it doesnt fit.

The vin was B310 but since it was wagon I figured that was the difference.

BTW there was no aluminum block attached to it. So Im guessing I have the wrong one. It fits the bolt pattern in the firewall, but it hits both the clutch cylinder and the bolt for the steering column.

So back to the wreckers again.

I will probably keep this booster for my 521 pickup. I think I can make a special bracket that extends the booster out past the clutch cylinder.

any tips would be useful.

Thanks

The B-210 and 620 have a pedestal behind the booster to hold it forward away from the firewall and give clearance for the clutch master. If you find one get the extension or extended push rod from the pedal. Make sure moving the brake master forward won't interfere with the strut tower.
