DatsunMotorSports
Hey guys So Im working on getting this goon back on the road. I need it running by Jun. Last weekend I found a 79 B210 Wagon at pick n pull. I pulled the brake booster and set it aside for some free time. This morning I went out and removed the stock master cylinder. I cleaned up the brake booster. I went to install it and it doesnt fit. The vin was B310 but since it was wagon I figured that was the difference. BTW there was no aluminum block attached to it. So Im guessing I have the wrong one. It fits the bolt pattern in the firewall, but it hits both the clutch cylinder and the bolt for the steering column. So back to the wreckers again. I will probably keep this booster for my 521 pickup. I think I can make a special bracket that extends the booster out past the clutch cylinder. any tips would be useful. Thanks Quote Link to comment
qwik510
Pretty sure the 1979 model was a 210 not a B210. You need the booster from the B210. The B210 was made from 1974-1978 but I am not sure if all of the years had a booster or not. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The B-210 and 620 have a pedestal behind the booster to hold it forward away from the firewall and give clearance for the clutch master. If you find one get the extension or extended push rod from the pedal. Make sure moving the brake master forward won't interfere with the strut tower. 1 Quote Link to comment
Moisabamf
B310=datsun 210. the vin SHOULD say B210 then everything will be just gravy. my dad installed one in his 510 in less than an hour(including going to pep boys for some hose) so it should be a sinch 1 Quote Link to comment
