banzai510(hainz) Posted September 26, 2007 Report Share Posted September 26, 2007 Are the bolts stuck in the housing? Usaually they are stuck in there and need a another lower housing. Yes go find a good harewarestore and get some stainless bolts(metric) and use antiseize on the bolts next time. I think its a 8mmx1.25pitch thread every Datsun owner should have spare bolts ect from the junk yard anyways at least for size thread referance Quote Link to comment
hang_510 Posted September 26, 2007 Report Share Posted September 26, 2007 i had the same issue, the rusted bolt broke inside the housing, luckily it wasnt seized in the head. finding 1.25 metric threads at a hardware store wasnt easy. finding them at a JY = priceless(FREE!!!) :D i now grab the long bolt whenever i find 1, somtime the housing too.
