]2eDeYe
This section looked lonely so I thought I'd pay it a visit.... This is a repost from that other board, but I didnt think anyone would mind :D So I wanted to get rid of this pesky thing Stripped the donors down all neked like :D No aftermarket filler plates for this truck :P Time for the Miller 175 action Because I'm not so good at bodywork I had to use a little filler to smooth it out. Adding someof my favortie color  Put some gloss on the window frame and inside of the door Test fitting...yep still fit's :P To get the door open I decided (or rather my bank account decided) to use the key. this requires modifying the linkage... This is how it ended up. The only way in now... I think it turned out pretty good and no more lock to interfere with the arm out the window action:cool: mmmmm shaved door handles Quote Link to comment
jovial_cynic
Nice work! My 510 has shaved doors, but no keyhole either -- it's smooth all the way down. I'm thinking about getting an electric door popper for it, but I haven't decided yet. Quote Link to comment

71-521
need to do that with my dime... hmmm, don't I remember someone sending out some door poppers on the nude site? I wonder how that install went? Quote Link to comment
jovial_cynic
2eDeYe;1889'']No key huh, magnetic selenoid? Well, currently the car has no keyhole and no windows, making entry pretty easy. I need to eventually get my hands on some windows and install the actuators. The previous owner planned to turn the car into a drag car, and took all but the windshield glass off the car. He even pulled all the lights out and riveted flat sheets over the places where the lights were. The tail panel must have been shot, because it's been replaced with a flat sheet, so I'll need to cut holes for the rear lights, too. I've got a lot of work to do before the car will be street legal... Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
Steve they came out great & thanks for the pics again. Amazing how it brings out the "bullet" body line now! Ill be doing mine soon & will post pics when i do. On my Hardbody i used an actuator to unlock the door from the outside with a "hidden" switch & to open the door i used a inside door lock attached to the mechanism which used to hook up to the door handle...you can see it in the lower R corner of the window... Green Bastard
2eDeYe;2579'']That is a sexy car right there  Thanks. I like your shaved handle write up also. Good quality work. I love 620's with no handles. They should have been that way from the factory :D Quote Link to comment
