Because I'm not so good at bodywork I had to use a little filler to smooth it out.

To get the door open I decided (or rather my bank account decided) to use the key. this requires modifying the linkage...

2eDeYe;1889'']No key huh, magnetic selenoid?

Well, currently the car has no keyhole and no windows, making entry pretty easy. I need to eventually get my hands on some windows and install the actuators. The previous owner planned to turn the car into a drag car, and took all but the windshield glass off the car. He even pulled all the lights out and riveted flat sheets over the places where the lights were. The tail panel must have been shot, because it's been replaced with a flat sheet, so I'll need to cut holes for the rear lights, too.

I've got a lot of work to do before the car will be street legal...

Steve they came out great & thanks for the pics again. Amazing how it brings out the "bullet" body line now! Ill be doing mine soon & will post pics when i do. On my Hardbody i used an actuator to unlock the door from the outside with a "hidden" switch & to open the door i used a inside door lock attached to the mechanism which used to hook up to the door handle...you can see it in the lower R corner of the window...
