datsunfreak
That was a lot of taping. But totally worth it. B) 2 Quote Link to comment
Son_of_a_Datsun_Guy
Painted behind the grill/valance. The results give me chub. IMG_1567 by thomas telesco, on Flickr That was a lot of taping. So glad you did that. So many times people leave that spot body color, and it really takes away from the effect of a nice grill, especially on light colored cars. 1 Quote Link to comment
heywier427
My erection has lasted more than four hours. Who should I call? IMG_1569 by thomas telesco, on Flickr Bumper being painted black and will be installed in few days! 1 Quote Link to comment
heywier427
Can someone photo shop the above picture for me? Want to see what it looks like with out the 2 chrome bars in the center of the grill. Just black them out. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
jovial_cynic
Today I learned the difference of what a spark gap can make. I didn't realize that the stock sr20 had a .036 spark gap. I read on some forum (instead of reading the FSM, doh!) that the spark gap is .028. That doesn't seem like much difference, but my engine ran pig rich (unburnt fuel) while the spark gap was too small. I fixed it today and it runs much much better. Also, everybody needs to install a wideband O2 sensor so they can more quickly diagnose their engine problems. I saw my engine running rich long before I peeked at the plugs to see them fouled out. 1 Quote Link to comment

heywier427
^ Thank you! I like them both... I'm contemplating the matte black hood (vinyl wrap), and spook (also black). I think the black'd grill would look good/better with those done. Thanks again! 1 Quote Link to comment

jovial_cynic
Do you know what happens when previous owners of engines are lazy and they install the knock sensor in the wrong location? Well, if the sensor is in the bolt-hole right next to the location where the engine and transmission meet, your knock sensor thinks you are pinging out at all times, and the timing gets pulled so much you bog out amd have a red-hot exhaust. Previous owners. Sigh. Got that fixed today, and NOW I know what an sr20sr20det is supposed to feel like! Quote Link to comment
heywier427
Now learn how to add timing by listening to those knock sensors. You'll be surprised by how high you can go :) Quote Link to comment
jovial_cynic
Well, my next project is to add an intercooler. I want to maximize the safety on the turbo before I start increasing timing and boost. Also, getting the big brakes installed ip front. Quote Link to comment
mattyhacks71
Got the Nardi on, wired and plumbed up the 3 pod gauges Bolted up the heat sheild and the stacks, tried my best to balance the carbs 2 Quote Link to comment

Icehouse
Stupid to watch fun to do. Like riding a moped. I already compete in there auto crossing event, which is fun. It's way out just got a good deal on the motor so couldn't pass it up. Came with the ecu that's been reflashed so it doesn't need any of the CAN communication to get it out of limp mode. 2 Quote Link to comment
q-tip
Graduate to road course racing then, the bigger motor will help with straight speed. Quote Link to comment

heywier427
Yes. Simply wire tap the feed from the fender parking lights. Quote Link to comment
q-tip
The run amber/white for parking light and flash amber for signal. Clear is single filament and amber is dual filament. Quote Link to comment
