The two dash mounted side vents are individually, operated cold air vents to the outside.

The cab heat is linkage operated by the heater controls. At the bottom of the heater assy. there is a movable flap door. in the up, or clossed position, hot air can only go up and out the defrost vents, down and the air is let out into the cab onto the tranny hump.

The linkage may have fallen off or is out of adjustment.

I was on a church youth camp on Lake Shasta, in 2005, with my boat, and found five or six pull tabs on the beach when the water was low. One evening we had a contest to see if any of the youth could identify the "mystery object" About five or six, out of around 200 kids guessed correctly.
