Bleach
so it looks like a long time ago someone ripped out the back panel by the trunk lock and litterally ripped a hole in the metal to open the hatch. I removed the broken center piece which involves losening up both tail lights as well. Icehouse and I managed to grab a rear center section from the wrecking yard. It was red so I primed and painted it gold. Closest color I could find at Autozone. it'll work for my beater. I used a chunk of the original part (pic 2) to make a blockoff plate where the key hold would be. Then slapped it all back in there. yay, looks ok. Quote Link to comment

Bleach
yes Ice, it says in my post that it was red but I painted it! :D Maybe beige would have been a closer match... ? I can always re-do it by just masking around it. I'll look later. I was just at Autozone today! :( got some bulbs for the 3rd brake light. This car has 4 brake lights. There's a fourth inside the car up top that only works if the hatch is open and you hit the brakes. I think maybe there is a quick disconnect for the rear hatch so you can put a large box in the rear??? Quote Link to comment
