jrbd10
so to settle it. you want me to get a dyno. then throw some parts on it and see what happens? Quote Link to comment
Bleach
If you want to, put on an air filter and 2.5 exhaust. Dyno it. Then add headers to that exhaust and dyno it. :) Quote Link to comment
72240z
Thats a lot of time right there lol. Honestly It's the only way to prove it either way and sadly z31 dynos with just those mods are far and few in between. I'm fine agreeing to disagree. Quote Link to comment
jrbd10
any specific 2.5 exhust...magnaflow, flowmaster, msa, cm? Quote Link to comment
Bleach
I just had a local shop bend pipes and put it on when I did headers and 2.5" on a 280ZX. With muffler it was $300 total. Quote Link to comment
hoov100
I wouldnt bother with getting a pre-bent exhaust and pay for shipping, just buy the mufler you want in the correct size and take it to an exhaust shop, but i would stay away from flowbastards, my pref is magnaflow and hooker or just strait pipe. Bleach
oh ya, I bought a flowmaster when I did my setup way back in 1999. I thought I would be getting HUGE power increase by doing this work... major loss in torque under 3000 rpm and I could never really tell if my top end power increased or not. It certainly pushed my powerband up though. Not what I had in mind. Dynoed at 135rwhp. I gave the dyno sheet away when I sold the car. Quote Link to comment

nismopu
To make decent power with the vg30 takes head work and lots of it. Being a z31 guy myself I even face making power hard even though I am boosted. I suggest you join z31performance.com its the ONLY site I would take info from. BTW there's quite a few dyno sheets out there with similar setups and they make more power just not a lot. Quote Link to comment
