engine sitting in the bare metal '77 cab. not how there is still enough clearance behind the engine for ancillaries such as heater, aircon and engine loom etc...

here is the engine in question :D

Are you going to leave it a flat bed? I also love the huge hook in the pic :D I was using rope to pull my SR out today :D hehe The ca is my favorite engine by far! I noticed in the engine in the truck photo, that the mounts are a few inches farther forward than they are with the L20 or in your case J13 (?). When I put my ka in I kept the same front to back location as the original engine. I thought maybe you to miss the steering you moved the engine forward. Just curios :D

basically we got the engine mounted and then turned our attention to the trans tunnel... for most who dont know... a CA box will not fit a 620 floor hole without major modification !! so we basically cut the top of the tunnel out and welded it back in with a 2" rise either side. the shifter position is completely new for me as this thing was column shift before installing this motor!!

yeah to my knowledge i am the owner of the only set in Australia..

basically i bought them off ebay, and had a person over there hold em for me whilst i afforded to have them shipped.

turned out it took about 3 and a half months to have them delivered ( via sea Freight) and then another 3 weeks in customs ( clearance etc...)

in the same shipment i had a set of deville tails sent over as well.

I sent a 10-13lb box(18"x20") over to the UK for 65 bucks through USPS I think DHL, UPS, and FED-EX are all so overpriced! I also shipped a set of wheels and tires over to the east coast for 90 bucks shipped to the guys door when UPS and FED-ex wanted 200 bucks!!!! peace.

Rad project man! From looking at the picture of the engine mounted in the engine bay on the first page, it looks like there isn't much (if any) room for a radiator, have you test fit it yet?

CA18det is a rad engine. If I ever do a swap in anything other than my 4x4 thats what I'd like to use.

thats for the comments guys!!!

yeah all of em over here have the headache bars. normally they would bolt out however on this one they have welded them in :(

the Us versoin of the 620 is great in the sence that it doesnt have a sh!tty radiator support.. i had to basically remove the whole thing, and move the radiator forward to clear the bottom engine pulley!! lots of work but looks good ;)

yeah the CA seems ot be a good choice... well i hope so anyways!!
