    • I've been fighting water loss and can not figure out where.  First I tried to adding an overflow jug to see if it was escaping out the overflow tube and not being recaptured.  I see the level go up and down sometimes on the overflow jug.   I'm loosing maybe a half a quart every time I fire it up and do a test around the neighborhood and on the freeway for one exit then home.  Maybe 5 miles max.   This time after the test, I checked the overflow jug and air was coming out the overflow tube into the jug.   The truck does not overheat unless the coolant gets too low.   The needle runs a little less than half.   Before I did the test this time checked the coolant level and it was down about a quart.  When I unscrewed the cap there was a hiss.  The engine had been sitting for a couple of days.  Maybe the hiss was vacuum and not pressure?   If there is a hiss on the radiator cap after sitting for a couple of days, can it be HG?   Thanks

    • "Dude.....it must be a sign!"   So today I walked into town, strolling down the sidewalk, sun nice and warm, one more place to go to then walk back along the RR tracks. Life is good. Ahead is a large sandwich sign board big as an A frame. Says blah blah Tea Co. I look over to this niche tea shoppe with 300 blends etc. etc. When I pass the sign I glance back, which is sort of silly as it probably says the same on both sides. But it doesn't! Says 'Come On In For A Free Cup Of Tea On Your Birthday' It's my birthday today and that sign must be a sign, so I did. Got a free hot Green tea. Life is good. 
    • And tonight...the scouts have rented out a local range so we can finish the gun safety/shotgun handling portion of their training.    Should be a hoot. My safe has been cleared. I know the Scoutmasters safe has been cleared. Gon' be a LOT of toys for everyone tonight.    I donated 400 target 12 gauge shells and a couple thousand rounds of 22 for the troop.    I won't be shooting much today. More going to help teach the kids and play one hell of a half-assed range officer.    (Sorry for all the posts. I used to know how to write after posting pictures. Fucking new guy.)    Hope to be able to share more pics tomorrow. 
    • And R-1 carbs.   If you take the throttle body off the D21 intake it looks like a 4 bbl should be on there. Just make an adapter out of 1/4" aluminum.
