    • The speedometer is mechanical isn't it? Should work without power. Same with the fuel pump, it's mechanical on the S10.   If no tail lights the dash and headlights probably don't work also     I assume you took the battery out for the engine removal? certainly you must have disconnected it. The positive cable goes to the starter but there is also a wire from the positive terminal over to the right fender? Probably to a plastic box? inside are the fusible inks of which (probably) there is one for the ignition switch which also sends some power the the fuse box for accessories that need to be switched such as wipers, heater radio... one for the lights.... one for the fuse box for things that are powered all the time like interior lights, clock, horn.    Funny that there is ignition power for the coil and the start signal.
    • The left better pray he goes to jail. Actually I know they're praying. Cause if he doesn't get locked up there's no chance he doesn't win. More and more youre starting hear people on the left/middle left say they're voting republican these elections.    And if that happens, heads are gonna start rolling on the left right off the rip. All those crooked mofos currently in office, as we say in spanish, "tienen cola que les pisen"(they have a tail to be stepped on). Meaning they all have something to answer for - (Joe, Hunter, Pelosi, Clinton etc...). Those pieces of shit don't know what they've started.
    • OK I had a go trying to tune the idle . . .    Ran it up to operating temp and first screwed the idle speed screw in until it starting raising the revs, then backed it off and unscrewed it but it didn't have any effect the other way up until the point I got paranoid about removing it completely and not being able to get it back in.   Same happened with the mixture screw, with the idle sounding ok I screwed it in (leaned it out) until it started coughing a bit then went the other way, but 3 full turns out and the screw starting becoming lose as if it were close to falling out.    So I set it somewhere in the middle of running lean and the screw becoming loose.   The idle sounds regular to me now and it doesn't smell of fuel or anything.   Perhaps I'm missing some subtleties with my ears, I think I'll invest in a vacuum gauge and timing light with tacho.
    • It looks like you also got squirrels, and rust. I've just been hammer forming the beads or buying KF panels for the big pieces.      I watch this You Tuber and am intrigued by this tool because it wouldn't take up much room but wonder if I would use it enough to be worth it. He also made some thumb nail dies for shrinking.
