  4. Sorry this is on at 85 720 KC
  5. the top of the piston was visibly scratched and damaged yes and yest all the valves fully closed when i pulled the head. Re-lashing the valves was one of the first things i did to the car when i bought it. didnt check the seats though
  6. Can Anyone tell me where the plug is behind the Glove box that goes to the dash Before it goes to the engine housing what does the plug look like how many prongs I mean any kind of help would be great!I still can’t figure out the no dash lights that I have checked the dimmer switch and it has power but Works can’t figure out why they have no dash lights at all??
  7. High mileage oil may have stuff in it to make your seals swell. Stay away from it. I like old-fashioned dino oil. W/today's oil, 5K is plenty often. I have not had an oil related engine failure in a long time. I have 2 Camrys w/over 250K on them (one over 300), a 720 w/210K, a Honda CRv w/a bunch, a Hyundai Tucson w/212K....they all get changed at 5K....when the mileage comes up to a 0, or a 5, on the thousands, I change it. Camrys have an oil filter that points up, like an erection. They have to fill it up, every cold start. I haven't seen that it matters. My FIL had an '84 Camry. He used to get it changed every 10K. I told him, what the heck, he says that is what the manual calls for. We sold that car at 212K, and it ran like a top. That was with dino-oil, of 40 years ago.
  8. 3 and 4 are speaker brackets. They are mounted backwards in this pic for storage.
  9. I think you can. It involves the same work, tools and results. It improves breathing at higher revs, it's permanent, it never goes out of tune, and I enjoyed doing it.
  10. junkyard head and pawn shop air powered grinder, that sums up the breath of my experience as well (unless you count gasket matching as "porting")
  11. I don't have a drill that spins true enough, but I could put the valve in my lathe. Where/how is lapping used? I have lapped gun parts to the 10 thousandth and currently have a set of Z24 intake and exhaust valves that move in their brass guides like they are gliding on glass. _(I will complete the same process with the KA24E valve/guides). I am confused regarding the exact position needed for the valve relative the seat. I have calipers and micrometers. if I know exactly where the valve needs to be I can put it there.
  12. The brakes look beefier than the ones on a 720
  13. I think the shift lever on the divorced case would need to be mounted in the bed. I have both and together they would be crazy long, you might be able work out some funky linkage. A final concern is the offsets have to line up, or over Samurai boys double up and the T100 isn't much bigger than the Zuk case. Two datsun divorced (T100) and a shorty 71B could be a way
  14. Some idiot distributed conspiracy theory pamphlets near Trumps trial today. He proceeded to douse himself with something flammable, and lit himself on fire. He really showed them!
  15. Rancho 5000.Got them at O'Rielly's long time ago.Life time warranty.
  16. The car is back on its wheels… not the ground yet… and not with out issue… I knew the rear brakes were likely going to be an issue, but at stock height and full droop my rework was no problem and looked like it would clear. How ever… even at full droop with the coil overs there is contact. Like I said based on witness marks from before this was potentially going to be an issue… Here it is with my reroute - there was going to be an issue with the brake bracket. I thought I took another photo but I guess not. Then I swapped the calipers back to how they were (how it is recommended for a 280zx set up) and still there are issues- I was thinking I’ll just try and shave the bracket, but looks like the cable will be the next issue…. I think I’m going to try and go back in tomorrow and swap the calipers again… another option is to potentially re drill the cable hole lower on the bracket and trim down. I think most people run a Maxima bracket - and mine is definitely not that as it is welded. I looks like the maxima brackets mount the caliper more vertical which could potentially help- but no way am I gonna find those brackets. Just frustrated… was hoping to get a couple more years out of these brakes and avoid and expensive wilwood update.
  17. Wire feed wrenches can make anything fit. On the topic of kA transmissions. Could a guy fit the 4x4 transmission with the married case out of a d21 and stick it in front of the divorced case for double t-cases? I have tried looking to see if anyone attempted it but couldn't find anything.
  18. New exhaust. Looks good and sounds good. No more fumes in the cab!!
  19. No, I said "mentally ill wackjob" Trump people don't light themselves on fire. No sane person lights themselves up. Where do you get that from ? More of your irrational speculation ?
